Ethereum Roadmap
Ethereum's roadmap is community-driven and evolves with research and real-world needs—not a fixed checklist with hard deadlines.
Shipped milestones: Merge (PoS), Shapella (withdrawals), Dencun (blobs), Pectra (account abstraction & staking), Fusaka (PeerDAS).
In development: Glamsterdam (H2 2026) targets in-protocol PBS and block-level access lists; Hegotá (2027) remains under discussion.
Four pillars: cheaper transactions (rollups + danksharding), stronger security (post-quantum, etc.), better UX (account abstraction, light nodes), default privacy.
Long-term research: single-slot finality, zkEVM, stateless clients, Verkle trees. Tracking the roadmap helps anticipate how network upgrades affect apps and asset pricing.
